This prototype is designed around useful, accountable dentist profiles. It is not a place for patient information.

Information in an account
Creating an account records your name, contact information, professional title, licence number, specialty and purchasing role. It also records clinic information such as the practice name, address, phone number, website, number of operatories and an annual equipment-budget range.
How the information is used
Account data supports login, review accountability, saved products, price targets, quote requests and member promotions. When you create a quote request and confirm sharing, the request is associated with your doctor and clinic profile so participating dealers have enough context to respond.
What is public
Public reviews show a shortened reviewer name, specialty, province, rating and review content. Email addresses, phone numbers, licence numbers, clinic addresses and budget information are not displayed publicly.
Prototype delivery
The current catalogue, vendors, prices, reviews and promotions are sample data. Quote requests are recorded in the local database but are not sent to external dealers. Price targets are stored but no notification service is active yet.
Cookies and security
The site uses a session cookie to keep you signed in and protect forms. Passwords are stored as one-way hashes. Login attempts and important account actions are logged with a one-way hash of the requesting IP address.
Do not submit patient information
Do not put patient names, health details, images or other personal health information in reviews, quote notes or any other field. Chairside Market is for practice purchasing and service research.

Account editing and deletion controls will be added before production. During the prototype, contact hello@chairsidemarket.com about access, correction or deletion.
